What's New in TrioConnect — March 2026

We've made several updates to TrioConnect to help you manage referrals, contacts, and communications more easily. Here's what's new.

---

Get Help Right From the App

Need assistance? You'll now see an orange help button in the bottom-right corner of every page. Click it to open a quick form where you can describe your question or issue. Your message goes straight to your support team, and they'll follow up with you.

---

Redesigned Referral Page

The referral list has been reorganized to help you find what you need faster.

  • Workflow tabs - Referrals are now grouped into four tabs: *Needs Action*, *In Progress*, *Completed*, and *Cancelled*. Each tab shows a count so you can see at a glance where things stand.
  • Search - Use the search bar to quickly find a referral by student name.
  • Improved print view - The printable referral list has been updated, especially for referrals that still need consent.

Closing Referrals

You can now manually close a referral when it's no longer needed. Closing a referral will also close any active consults associated with that student's referral. The system records who closed it and when, so there's always a clear audit trail.

If a student passes a follow-up screening, their referral will be automatically closed and marked as rescreened.

---

Contact Management

There's a new **Contacts** section for your district where you can view and manage caregiver contact information.

  • Search contacts by name, email, or phone number.
  • View contact details including a full history of every email and text message sent to that contact, with delivery status.
  • Edit student contacts - update which contacts are associated with a student, set the relationship type, and manage primary/secondary contact priority.

If an email bounces or a phone number is invalid, you'll see that reflected on the contact record so you can take action.

---

Improved Student Search

Searching for students by first or last name is now case-insensitive. Searching for "johnson" will now find "Johnson", no need to worry about capitalization.

---

## Export Student Lists

On the student list page, you'll find a new Export Student List button. Use the existing filters to narrow down the students you want, then click the export button to download a CSV file. The export respects whatever filters you currently have applied on the page.

Questions?

If you run into anything unexpected or have questions about these changes, use the new help button in the app or reach out to your district administrator.
